Tuesday night I went out to an Italian ice cream restaurant with my friends Maria, Kaci, Cara, and Irina, Caffe Ciao. It’s right around Leicester Square station. Like most wonderful food joints, it looks tiny and unimpressive from the outside. You’d think it’s another crappy cafe (don’t get me wrong I love cafes here) but step inside and you have about 20 choices of gelato, an ice cream menu 15 pages long, and a whole selection of ice cream that looks like other food, as well as a nice selection of very reasonably priced Italian food (like not desert food (ice cream’s not food?! No, it does not count as a meal)). Two of my mates got ice cream spaghetti. Looked like spaghetti, but it was chocolate ice cream! I ordered a pistachio-vanilla ice cream mix with raspberry sauce, blueberries, and white chocolate flakes. All of it was delicious. And the waiter was quite silly and Italian.
